HIDLUMANE FALLS

Looking at this beauty in the rainy season is the wonderful experience you will ever have. It's quite tough and dangerous to go there during rainy season. The journey though, will give you a charming experience. It would be better if you visit here in the winter, as both the view and weather would be supportive. Situated in the laps of the Kodachadri hills, this falls hits the ground around from 60-70 feet height.

We reached Nittutu at afternoon 3:00 P.M. Nitturu is a small town situated just down on the Kodachadri hills. It was raining heavily, later when the rain slowed down we took our way to the falls. The rain was playing with us. Two times we stopped on the road due the sudden hit of the rain. However, by the time we reached the falls, we were all wet.

You will get a home after riding for around 6KM's where you need to park your vehicle. The owner of the home owns a small shop. You can buy anything if you want.
From there we started heading towards the falls. The first phase of the trek is to go through the Arecanut plantation (famous in Malenadu) followed by paddy field. Then we started climbing in the steep hill. After walking for just 5 minutes we found a water source with a small stream. We thought it was Hidlumane falls and was not disappointed in the small size , because it was just awesome.

One of us had visited earlier and he told that the real trekk begins now. Without wasting time we started. The path was not confusing at the beginning. Tourists footprints have had done a small path . We started climbing just besides that small stream. After climbing for half a KM's I realised that it wasn't just a small stream. It was very big. We found that Hidlumane falls isn't a single falls, its a series of many falls.  From there it was around 1 KM's to the falls.

And this one KM's was to go through the series of the falls itself. It was slippery, with utmost care we started to climb the rocks. Finally we were there!! surrounded by lush green forests in 360°. The weather was cold AF, The wind was hitting us hard, The leaches were on us, but were busy in making memories. Later I found out that Hidlumane falls is the series of the 6 falls.
Suddenly it started raining again, we were lucky to have plastic covers to cover our gadgets. We kept our mobiles in bags and kept it in the safest place we could ever find. We were all wet and the rain showed no mercy on us. The small pool formed by the falls was not much deeper, so we started swimming, we spent around an hour playing there. The water hits hard when you show your back upward down to the falls.

It was getting dark and we had no idea how we spent our precious time. That was awesome. We hadn't any idea when has the rain stopped. We came out of the pool, and it was then we experienced the real cold. We were all wet ,even out dresses were wet too. Without turning back, we started heading down. We were all shivering, however, we managed to come near our bikes and with no time we went to Nitturu.

We stayed there in our friend's home.
Totally the journey was awesome and memorable. I really thank the rain for showering on us to make the journey more beautiful.
