TONDLE FALLS


The mesmerising seasonal waterfall is situated inside the Mookambika reserve forests. The waterfall gives its best in rainy season, it is almost unexplored as this is a seasonal waterfall.we got information from our friend and planned a go for it. The plan was to visit Toodali waterfalls and then go to Tondle falls. But due to the heavy rain in Byndoor we stopped at Byndoor for hours together and canceled our plan of visiting Toodali falls.


It was 11 in the morning when we left Byndoor. we were a bit disappointed because of cancellation of Toodali (The trekking to this falls is considered difficult). It took us just half an hour to reach a village named Tondle. We asked the help of the villagers to get the route guide.


It is situated at a distance of 2 KM's from the main road. We took a left diversion from the main road, the road was muddy. It was quite difficult to ride our bikes. In a few minutes we were at a point where we couldn't take our vehicles further. We parked our bikes and headed towards the falls.


Just a 500 meters walk took us to the bottom of the falls. Woah! Though it flows only in rainy, the flow was at its best. I couldn't even believe that it was a seasonal falls. We decided to take bathe when one of our gang member gave us an idea of climbing the top of the falls. In no time we started executing our plan.


It didn't take us much time to climb, but it was quite difficult and challenging. It was too cool at the top and we couldn't belive our eyes to see two more smaller waterfalls at the top. We spent about an hour at the top and started heading towards down. We took a nice bath and packed back to Byndoor.


Totally the trip was memorable and mesmerising. Seeing two falls giving birth to one falls gave us a heavenly feeling!!
THINGS TO REMEMBER: as this falls flows only in rainy season, it's better to visit during the rainy season.


HOW TO REACH:

ROADWAYS: it is situated at a distance of 15KM's from Byndoor city. You need to take a left diversion in Byndoor-Kollur road. If you are going from Mangalore take the following route:-
Mangalore - Udupi - Kundapura - Byndoor - Tondle village - Tondlefalls.


RAILWAYS: The nearest railway station is situated in Byndoor at a distance of 15KM's.



AIRWAYS: The nearest airport is situated at a distance of 150KM's in Mangalore.

                                       DEVGANGE I had been to this historical temple on my way to nagara fort. I had no plans of visiting this place when one of my friend suggested me to visit here this is nearer to nagara.this place has been declared to be one of the national importance under the ancient monuments and archeological sited and remains act 1958. THE MAYURAVANA HOMESTAY                                  Situated in the foothills of the Chandradrona hill station and surrounded by the coffee estates, the two day stay gave us a heavenly experience. It is situated in the village named Mallenahalli which is 12 Km's from Chikkamagaluru town. The village itself has many myths and stories behind it.
